Cambium

Requirements

To integrate Cambium with MyPlace, your network must be managed using **cnMaestro**, Cambium’s network management platform. Whether you are using the **cloud-based** or on-premises version of cnMaestro, you’ll need API credentials to connect with MyPlace.

Additionally, a cnMaestro X subscription is required to access the Cambium API and activate MyPlace on your network. Without this subscription, the necessary API functionality for integration will not be available.

Cambium Controller URL

To obtain the Cambium URL for the cloud version of cnMaestro, simply log in to your cnMaestro Cloud account. Once logged in, the URL in your browser’s address bar will contain the Cambium URL you need. Copy the full URL directly from the browser, which typically looks something like:

https://eu-w1-s15-dancingdonut99.cloud.cambiumnetworks.com/#/0/home-view/home

Remove ‘/#/0/home-view/home’ from the end so we have the proper url, as below:

https://eu-w1-s15-dancingdonut99.cloud.cambiumnetworks.com

This URL will be used to integrate your Cambium network with MyPlace.

Activate API in Cambium

An API needs to be created in the Cambium cnMaestroX controller. Follow the steps below to complete

  1. Navigate to Network Services > API Client
  2. Select ‘Add API Client’
  3. Enter a name and description for the API and press save
  4. OAuth2 access credentials will be revealed. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret for connecting to MyPlace
