Podium Alternative
Looking for an Alternative to Podium?
Podium is a full reputation and messaging suite, reviews, texting, phones, payments, priced by sales quote.
MyPlace isn’t. We capture guests automatically from your WiFi, reservations, and payments, turn them into Google and TripAdvisor reviews, and charge a published price per location. The simple things, done well, for a lot less.

A quick comparison
See how MyPlace and Podium compare, row by row. Every Podium cell comes from their own website, checked 20 July 2026. A red mark in the Podium column means the feature is not offered on podium.com as of that date. Red marks in the MyPlace column are features we deliberately don't build.
The pricing difference in practice: a 3-location restaurant group pays $237/month with MyPlace ($79 per location on Growth, including automated review generation on Google and TripAdvisor and 200 new guest emails per venue each month - capture more and you add a bundle, the plan price doesn't move). Podium doesn't publish pricing; third-party analyses in July 2026 report plans from $399/month for a single location, with annual contracts.

Frequently asked questions
Stuck on something? We’re here to help with all your questions and answer in one place.
Switching from Podium
Yes. We work with agencies and IT providers migrating whole venue portfolios. We offer volume pricing, migration support across your whole book, and a partner arrangement that rewards you for the venues you bring. Contact us to talk it through.
Straightforward. Export your contacts from Podium, and we’ll import them so your history carries over. If your venues have guest WiFi on UniFi, Meraki, Ruckus, Aruba, or Cambium, we point the captive portal at your branded MyPlace splash page and new guest capture starts immediately. Review generation and the review inbox are live as soon as your Google and TripAdvisor profiles are connected.
No. MyPlace focuses on guest WiFi, guest data, and review generation; we don’t do SMS sales conversations, business phones, or payment processing. Venues that mainly use Podium for reviews often find MyPlace covers that job at a fraction of the reported cost; if texting and payments are your core workflow, Podium or a dedicated tool remains the better fit for that piece.
Pricing and Contracts
Each plan includes a monthly allowance of new unique guest emails (Essentials 100, Growth 200, Advanced 300). Capture more and you add an email bundle or use flex overage; the plan price itself doesn’t change, returning guests never count again, and guest WiFi never stops working for your guests.
MyPlace publishes pricing: Essentials $49, Growth $79, Advanced $159, per location per month, billed month to month with no long-term contract. Automated review generation is included from the Growth plan. Podium doesn’t publish pricing; their pricing page directs you to a sales call, and third-party analyses in July 2026 report plans from $399/month with annual contracts. Each MyPlace plan includes a monthly allowance of new guest emails; capture more and you add an email bundle, but the plan price itself doesn’t change, and returning guests never count against your allowance.
No. Month to month, cancel anytime from Account > Billing. The free trial includes all Advanced features and doesn’t require a credit card.
Guest WiFi and Review Generation
Yes. You can automatically trigger review prompts after WiFi sign in. Happy guests are invited to public sites like Google or TripAdvisor, and guests who report a problem can choose a private feedback form so your team can follow up.
Yes. MyPlace also integrates with reservation systems like ResDiary and payment platforms like Square. When your customers interact with those, MyPlace can prompt them to leave a review.
Yes. MyPlace supports common captive portal flows, including click through, access codes or vouchers, and social sign in. You can enable contact capture with clear consent text, or run a lightweight flow that does not collect personal data.
Google and TripAdvisor, with a private feedback option for unhappy guests on both.
Review Operations and Analytics
Yes. MyPlace provides context aware, sentiment matched suggestions so teams can reply quickly and stay on brand. They’re included in the plan, not a paid add-on.
Yes. See trends by venue or group, and export CSV or PDF for managers.
Setup and Migration
MyPlace works with the WiFi gear most venues already have, including UniFi, Meraki, Ruckus, Aruba, and Cambium, and that’s where automatic guest capture comes from. Review prompts can also be triggered through reservation systems like ResDiary or payment platforms like Square. If you’re not sure what your venues run, ask us and we’ll check compatibility with you.
Most single location setups go live quickly after branding assets and review destinations are confirmed. Multi location rollouts vary with WiFi provider access and approvals.
Data, Privacy, and Security
